On 25th July 2026, the school auditorium and first-floor classrooms at GIIS KL transformed into a vibrant hub of youth empowerment and inspiring collaboration for the Interact Leadership Training Seminar (ILTS 2026). Gathering students from Grades 9 through 12, the event provided aspiring youth leaders with a dynamic platform to learn, reflect, and cultivate actionable skills for real-world impact.

The seminar commenced with an uplifting opening address by Rotary Club District Governor Rtn Rajj Melambaran, who challenged students to see leadership not merely as a title, but as a commitment to service, responsibility, and genuine friendship. His words set a meaningful tone, encouraging participants to approach their upcoming roles with purpose and empathy.

Throughout the day, participants immersed themselves in practical, hands-on workshops designed to build confidence and strategic vision. During the Leadership Blueprint masterclass, students stepping into roles as President, Vice President, and Secretary explored teamwork, accountability, and problem-solving through realistic case studies. In one of the segments, attendees reconnected with the founding legacy of Interact since 1962, discovering how youth-driven initiatives continue to reshape schools and local communities for the better.

The momentum culminated in the Success in Service breakout session, where students collaborated on designing impactful community projects, building public relations strategies, and exploring fundraising tactics. Grounded in global citizenship, the session highlighted cultural awareness and inclusivity. ILTS 2026 ultimately proved to be a transformative experience, leaving students equipped with both the confidence and compassion needed to act as bold changemakers in our society.
